New Catering Trailer
Yesterday, Narre Warren Fire Brigade took delivery of their new Catering Trailer. It is hoped that it will be ready for use within 3 weeks. It will be equipped with: 10kVA generator, 300 litre fridge, 2 x 200 litre tanks (1 fresh water, 1 waste water), Large BBQ, 2 x 9kg gas cylinders, Light mast, Fold-up tables, Canvas awnings that attach to the lift up doors, and plenty of workspace for both preparing and serving of food. It has 1 sink on the food preparation side, and a sink on the other side for FF/s to wash their hands. This trailer, which will be towed with "Narre Warren Car" will replace "Narre Warren Support" (ex Hampton Park Support), which has served us, and the hungry of Region 8 for approx 10 years.
Much thanks goes to all those that were involved in the whole process of obtaining this vehicle.
Well building is well under way at the new site. The date for completion is mid to late August at this stage. The rest of the frame and the roof should hopefully be on by the end of next week, and the plasterers are booked in to start on the 16th June. Brickwork should start just before this date.
After many years of trying to find a site that was suitable for the new Narre Warren Fire Station, work will soon begin on the construction at 292 Narre Warren - Cranbourne Rd.
